Indonesias Net-Zero and Nature-Positive Acceleration through Integrated Actions in the Energy and Industrial Sectors
PROJECT OBJECTIVE

To accelerate GHG emission reductions and enhance biodiversity conservation and promote land restoration through an integrated Net-Zero Nature-Positive approach in the energy and industrial sectors

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The project aims to accelerate greenhouse gas emission reductions while supporting biodiversity conservation and land restoration in Indonesia’s energy and industrial sectors. As a child project under the Global Net Zero Nature Positive Accelerator Integrated Programme, it supports stronger policy coherence, governance, public finance, investment readiness, sectoral reforms, monitoring systems, and knowledge sharing.

The project will enable green hydrogen development, advance industrial decarbonization, and support pilot investments aligned with net-zero and nature-positive goals. It also strengthens stakeholder capacity to track progress and promotes knowledge exchange with other participating countries. Gender equality, disability and social inclusion, and just transition principles are integrated to ensure inclusive participation and fair transition outcomes.
