PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The ASEAN Infrastructure Fund is a dedicated fund established by the ASEAN member nations and ADB to address the ASEAN region's infrastructure development needs by mobilizing regional savings, including foreign exchange reserves. All ASEAN Infrastructure Fund-financed infrastructure projects are also cofinanced by ADB funds. The ASEAN Infrastructure Fund is an integral part of ASEAN’s efforts to strengthen regional connectivity.
ADB is the ASEAN Infrastructure Fund's administrator, and ADB also provides technical support. ADB's Regional Cooperation and Operations Coordination Division, Southeast Asia Department, is the focal point for the administration of the ASEAN Infrastructure Fund. ADB also acts as a cofinancier and the lender of record for the ASEAN Infrastructure Fund loans.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
The project information was revised in February 2026. As the ASEAN Infrastructure Fund (AIF) is a long-term fund managed by ADB to support projects across Asia, the program budget has been removed to avoid double counting with individual projects. The end date is set to December 2050 due to the absence of a defined program end date.
