PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The project aims to strengthen the Philippines’ institutional and technical capacity to meet the Enhanced Transparency Framework requirements under the Paris Agreement. It addresses key gaps in the country’s climate data reporting system, including weak institutional arrangements for GHG data collection, limited technical capacity, and insufficient data management tools.
The project will improve transparency reporting, strengthen GHG data collection, enhance knowledge-sharing platforms, and support compliance with Article 13 of the Paris Agreement. It will also support targeted training, policy development, and data system upgrades to improve MRV systems, data sharing, and policy oversight. These efforts will help the Philippines meet its Paris Agreement commitments and support more effective climate decision-making.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
