PROJECT OBJECTIVE

The project will develop, construct, and operate 12 industrial waste-to-energy (WTE) plants, each with installed capacity of 9.9 megawatts (MW) and contracted capacity of 8.0 MW.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The GWTE Circular Economy Project will develop, construct, and operate 12 industrial waste-to-energy (WTE) plants, each with installed capacity of 9.9 megawatts (MW) and contracted capacity of 8.0 MW. The WTE plants are located across Saraburi, Ayutthaya, Prachin Buri, Rayong, and Chonburi provinces in Thailand, and will recover energy from sorted, combustible, nonhazardous industrial waste. The plants are expected to divert a total of up to 618,554 tons of nonhazardous industrial waste annually from landfills by 2029, which represents up to 18.3% of the sorted industrial waste generated in the 11 provinces adjacent to the plants.
