Comprehensive Conversion of Biomass and Waste to Super Clean Fuels by New Solid Catalysts
PROJECT OBJECTIVE

This project aims to develop catalyst conversion technology to produce biofuels and chemicals from Thailand’s abundant biomass, helping to reduce reliance on fossil fuels. It supports a stable, low-emission energy supply and contributes to the country’s transition toward a low-carbon society.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

In Thailand, energy demand has grown at an annual rate of approximately 5% in recent years, and the domestic energy supply and energy imports are expected to increase, raising concerns about the economic burden and increase in greenhouse gas emissions. This cooperation will develop catalyst conversion technology to produce various biofuels and chemicals from the country's abundant biomass resources. This will produce high-quality alternative fossil fuels, contributing to the stable supply of energy with low environmental impact and the realization of a low-carbon society.
