PROJECT OBJECTIVE

The SFF LCD is intended to contribute to better cooperation between national and subnational level, in order to support the Indonesian government’s commitment to a long term climate friendly and low emission development and successful implementation the NDC and SDG.?

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Launched in March 2019, Low Carbon Development Initiative (LCDI) framework has been mainstreamed into the National Mid Term Development Plan (RPJMN) 2020 2024. To ensure LCDI implementation and replication of the modelling on the subnational level, a coordinated policy effort and full participation from the national government, sub-national governments, and private sectors is required.

The project supports the Government of Indonesia through LCDI Secretariat by assisting sub national government to develop their low carbon development policy. It is expected that the Provincial Low Carbon Development Plan will be integrated into the the Regional Mid Term Development Plan (RPJMD) through the Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA).?
