PROJECT OBJECTIVE

The project aims to pilot clean energy solutions that empower women-led businesses by integrating digital literacy and financial inclusion, helping reduce the gender gap in labor force participation. It also seeks to generate evidence to inform gender-responsive policies for a just energy transition.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Capitalizing on the ACCESS project’s experience and investment, this project initiation aimed to prototype energy-economy activities by harnessing clean energy to empower women-led businesses, supported by digital literacy and financial inclusion, to reduce the gender gap in labor force participation and demonstrate the impact of the gender-responsive energy transition. The projects results will provide evidence for developing a policy brief and dialogue to influence the development of a gender-responsive just energy transition policy and program.
