Scale up low-carbon urban investment and operationalize a national emissions crediting mechanism.
To adopt solutions with innovative smart grid, renewable energy integration, or cross-sectoral integrated clean energy components
To adopt solutions with cross-sectoral integrated clean energy components
This project aims to support 10 developing member countries (DMCs) of ADB in addressing challenges to their climate-related energy transition goals by demonstrating scalable models for a just energy transition (JET) in infrastructure sectors.
The project will develop, construct, and operate 12 industrial waste-to-energy (WTE) plants, each with installed capacity of 9.9 megawatts (MW) and contracted capacity of 8.0 MW.
The project aims to strengthen low-carbon development and climate-resilient transformation (Strategy 2030 Midterm Review) and to improve regional cooperation and energy market integration (ASEAN Plan of Action for Energy Cooperation 2016-2025) in participating DMCs.
ADB invested in the equity of Quantified Energy Labs Pte. Ltd to support drone-based electroluminescence (EL) imaging technology for solar photovoltaic (PV) systems.
ADB assistance will support Gulf’s long-term net-zero greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions target and Thailand’s 5-gigawatt (GW) renewable energy feed-in-tariff (FIT) program for 2022– 2030. This program will double Thailand’s wind and solar capacity, helping Thailand meet its climate commitments. The project will promote the deployment of solar with integrated BESS, which is critical to integrate a growing share of intermittent renewable energy and decarbonize the power sector.
The regional technical assistance (TA) cluster aims to support the transformation of energy systems in selected developing member countries (DMCs) of the Asian Development Bank (ADB). The TA will advance reliable, affordable, and low-carbon energy by identifying, preparing, and implementing cross-sectoral, integrated, and smart energy solutions.
The project aims to provide financing for the development and operation of new renewable energy facilities in Pasuruan Regency, East Java, including transmission infrastructure to the Gondangwetan substation.
