Indonesia  Geothermal Power Expansion Project
PROJECT OBJECTIVE

The project will support an expansion of Indonesia's geothermal generating capacity to contribute to the sustainability, resiliency, and sufficiency of the electricity system.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The project will support PT Geo Dipa Energi (GDE), a state-owned geothermal company, to commission an additional 110 megawatts (MW) of geothermal electricity generating capacity at the Dieng geothermal field in Central Java. It will also improve the financial and institutional capacity of GDE to develop additional resources with the private sector and support the commissioning of a direct use pilot with geothermal energy for food security and poverty reduction.
