PROJECT OBJECTIVE

To overcome project-level barriers and limitations in attracting private investment, leading to chronic underfunding of bankable mitigation and adaptation projects at the sub-national level, specifically for projects ranging from USD 5 million to 75 million.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The SnCF Global – Technical Assistance (TA) Facility addresses barriers to private investment in sub-national climate projects by offering project preparation, de-risking, and capacity-building support. It focuses on climate mitigation and adaptation projects, typically sized between USD 5–75 million, that often face financing challenges due to their scale and perceived risk. The facility is implemented by IUCN, R20, and the Gold Standard Foundation, with funding from the Green Climate Fund. Indonesia is among the 42 participating countries.
