PROJECT OBJECTIVE

The ELREN Project aims to institutionalise knowledge on electrification through renewable energies (RE) in Indonesia.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Outputs

 

  • Quality Standards: Defining new standards for the quality and scope of performance for off grid electrification programmes based on RE.

  • Monitoring Database: Monitoring and evaluating existing electrification systems to provide lessons learnt and make these available for integration into new rural electrification programmes Further, supporting the establishment of data exchange among the stakeholders active in the sector.

  • Coordination Platform: Support the establishment of a coordination platform to synergise the measures taken by the Indonesian Government with regards to off grid electrification through RE and increase the sustainability of the programmes overall.

  • Private Sector: Provide capacity building to qualify regional training centres to offer trainings for local service technicians and support the private sector to construct and maintain systems for off grid electrification.
