PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The public private partnership will establish new employment qualification opportunities in the renewable energy and energy access sector in one of Indonesia’s easternmost provinces with the lowest electrification ratio, Nusa Tenggara Timur (NTT). Through institutional strengthening, the public vocational training body BalaiLatihanKerja (BLK) Kupang is being positioned to offer excellent vocational trainings for Solar Photovoltaic installations to NTT’s aspiring young population, thereby raising their qualification and employment opportunities The measures comprise organizational development, introduction of new training materials and courses, upgrading of training equipment, trainer qualification and establishing linkages to the job market The partnership bases its measures on an initial employment demands survey and aims to establish new alliances with the industry
