Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

Power Transition Progress Tool Methodology

methodology

The Power Transition Progress Tool assesses the status of the power sector transition across nine challenge areas. Each challenge area comprises several sub-challenges, which together contain 69 quantitative and qualitative indicators. Together, these indicators capture a range of technical, economic, regulatory, social and institutional conditions that can enable or constrain the transition.

Each indicator receives a score between 0 and 10, where 10 represents conditions most supportive of the power sector transition. The score for each challenge area is calculated as the average of the available indicator scores within that area. Indicators for which sufficient data is unavailable are excluded from the calculation.
Data collection prioritises the latest available national sources. Regional and international datasets are used where relevant, particularly where they provide more complete or comparable information across countries. The data sources are provided at the indicator level in the interactive tool.
